At AdventHealth Cancer Institute, we explore every possible option to help you heal faster and make you feel better. One of the ways we do this is through clinical trials, experiential new therapies. As one of the most active clinical trial sites in Florida, we’re able to offer patients access to trials for all types of cancer, from brain and spine cancer to breast cancer and lung cancer. If your team believes that you may benefit and qualify for one of our clinical trials, whether it’s for a groundbreaking drug, an alternative therapy, or a new diagnostic test, they’ll help guide you to it along with your Nurse Navigator.
All clinical trials follow an action plan approved by the Institutional Review Board. Before you confirm your participation, your Nurse Navigator will guide you through what to expect, including the fine print, so you can continue with confidence.
Your registered Clinical Research Center Nurse and Clinical Trial Investigators will review your medical history and diagnosis to determine if you’re eligible for a clinical trial.
We’ll walk you through the purpose of your study, the details of your treatment, and any possible side effects. We’ll also let you know when and how you can leave a clinical trial, if at any point you feel it’s not for you.
